The opposition Democratic progressive party-DPP has again promised to bail out Malawians from challenges rocking the country.

DPP Vice President for the south Joseph Mwanamvekha said this on Sunday during a political rally held at B.C.A Lonolo ground in Blantyre.

Speaking during the rally Mwanamvekha said for the past five years Malawians have been facing numerous challenges including shortage of foreign exchange which the current administration has failed to address.

Mwanamvekha said among other things, the party is geared to ensure the country has enough forex, fuel and maintain the country’s economy once voted into power on September 16 election.

On his part National organizing secretary for the party Sameer Suleiman asked the party followers to remain united and desist from violence during the campaign period.

Suleiman said time has come for Malawians to make an informed decision on the eligible candidate to be voted in the forthcoming election based on their manifestos.

Also in attendance during the rally were DPP regional governor for the south Charles Mchacha, Blantyre city council Mayor Joseph Makwinja, Alliance for Democracy-AFORD member Yeremiah Chihana among others.

During the rally the party also welcomed some members from Alliance for Democracy-AFORD and peoples party-PP that have joined the party.
