Newly recruited immigration officers urged to serve the citizenry with integrity – Minister Ezekiel Ching’oma

A Total of 354 recruited immigration officers who have passed out on Friday 30th May 2025 in Blantyre have been challenged to desist from corrupt practices.

Minister of Homeland security Ezekiel Ching’oma said this at Kanjedza police training school where 354 officers have paraded after undergone six months training.

In his address Ching’oma disclosed that his ministry will ensure the department of immigration and citizenship services continues to issue passports following the signing of a contract with a new firm facilitating the printing process.

Ching’oma also reaffirmed government commitment to address the shortage of good housing among the new officers as currently government has constructed 100 houses out of planned 1000 houses.
