Last year the organization vaccinated 150 thousand dogs from 11 districts in southern region with 20 thousand dogs vaccinated in Blantyre city alone.
In an interview Mission rabies Malawi country director Dr. Inga McDermott said the campaign will run for 10 days in five weeks in all 14 districts including Machinga, Mangochi and Ntcheu district.
Dr. McDermott said during the period the organization will also be conducting free dogs sterilization campaign with an aim to keep the dogs safe and stable.
She has therefore called on the citizenry to embrace the initiative for the fight against rabies to be successful.
