A call has gone to stakeholders to scale up efforts in promoting digital skills.

The department of computer science and information systems at Malawi University of Business and applied sciences-MUBAS has underscored the need to scale up efforts in promoting digital skills to enhance the country’s economic sector.

This has been said on Friday 25th July 2025 during the launch of Nzeru hub platform aimed at imparting information and communication technology skills to students an event held at MUBAS campus in Blantyre.

Projects principal lecture in computer science and information systems department Dr. Martin Bright Msendema said they thought it wise to launch the hub to benefit students as well as surrounding communities through outreach programs.

On his part chief executive officer for Malawi research and education network Solomon Dindi who was also guest of honor during the function applauded the move, as it will provide extra content to empower students and creators in information technology skills.

One of the students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies Chioma Dimbwa praised the initiative, noting that it would significantly support her academic journey.
