Youths urged to be patriots of their communities

Kalinda life care foundation has expressed the need for young people to take a leading role in creating a conducive environment for the elderly in their communities.

Youth Director for the organization Wilson Kandeya said this on Friday 16th May after visiting and cheering 6 old aged people in the area of Chief Chipagala, BCA Township in Blantyre.

Kandeya said young people should be in forefront in providing material and spiritual support to the elderly who are the source of knowledge rather than accusing them to be witchcrafts.

He said this is what prompted the organization to take a step of helping the elderly with cash in order to alleviate some of the challenges they face in their daily living.

One of the beneficiaries Stella Phiri hailed the organization for the timely support and has urged other groups to emulate the good gesture.
