Motorcycle operators have been reminded to register their bikes and obtain licenses before the end of the last phase of registration window which is currently underway until December this year.

The call was made during an awareness exercise the Malawi coalition for Kabaza stakeholders’ association-MAKOKASA together with the department of road traffic and safety services undertook in Limbe Township in Blantyre.

Chairperson for MACOKASA Moses Mwalabu expressed commitment to reach out to all operators’ country wide with the message on the importance of being registered and licensed by the government.

On his part one of the motor examiners William Lungu said apart from reducing road accidents the initiative will also help to easily trace the stolen motorbikes.
